So which one should you choose?
These aren’t quite the same kind of tool, despite appearances. One measures time; the other produces a record someone signs off.
Choose Puuunch if
- You want weekly approvals without moving to a Premium plan to get them.
- Expenses and receipts belong with the hours, not in a separate spreadsheet.
- Nobody on the team wants to start and stop a timer; they want the week filled in by Friday.
- Hosting in Canada and billing in Canadian dollars matter to you.
Stay with Toggl Track if
- The timer is the product for you — you actually start it, and the calendar integration earns its keep.
- You invoice out of Toggl Track and track billable rates per person or project.
- You want per-project profitability and budgets in money.
- You need SSO, or the hundred-plus integrations and browser extensions.
If you like the timer, keep it. Puuunch doesn’t measure time better — it gets the week filled in, which is a different problem.
